Our Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is made up of a group of student leaders, all of who have experienced different levels of homelessness and/or housing insecurity. These students are spread across all four high schools within MPUSD. Our YAB members are currently working hard to develop tip sheets that are specific to school-site positions (i.e. academic counselors, teachers, etc.) that answer the question “How can I best support students who experience homelessness and/or housing insecurity?”. YAB members are looking forward to sharing insights from their own experiences within the school system. They will be available very soon!
